Windows 2008 Enterprise - OEM or Licensing

Hi all,

 

I'm just about to take the plunge with purchasing Windows 2008 Enterprise

across the board (I would use standard but am worred about the 250 user max

on TS Gateway... is this per server or per farm?)

 

If I buy Licensing I presume I will have to buy CAL's as well. However, if

I buy OEM I will get 25 CAL's with each copy (presumably with each copy I get

25 users, not just 25?). Therefore, as OEM is cheaper, I'm presuming by

drawback is that the product lives and dies with the server? Can I still use

Virtualisation if required to run up to 4 hosts on each box?
