Session Directory and Network Load Balancing setup

I'm planning on setting up 3 W2k3 Enterprise Edition terminal servers with

Network Load Balancing and using Session Directory. I've read tons of things

about this in various white papers on Microsoft's web site, and found things

described very generally and no specific examples.

 

I was planning on using 2 NICs in each terminal server using unicast. Does

the second NIC plug into its own subnet, or does it even need to be linked to

the same network as the primary NIC? I saw nothing explaining this clearly.

 

Is the name used in Session Directory the same as the name used by network

load balancing? Do I have to create an address record in DNS for this name,

e.g. ts.domain.local?

 

I'm sure I have other questions as I proceed deeper. I would appreciate

feedback from anyone that has had experience with this set up.

Does Microsoft have the same type of step-by-step guides for Windows Server

2003? These terminal servers are running W2003R2.
