Hi

I've just moved house and bought a 20Mb Virgin package for broadband. The tech guy from Virgin came to put it in this morning but the internet is running really slowly on my Dell 1555 laptop. Slow as in it takes about half a minute to a minute to load a webpage, irrespective of which browser I use and I can't play music on Spotify because it thinks I'm offline. My flatmates are not experiencing this problem, however and the speeds on their laptops are fine which leads me to think there's something wrong on mine which is making it go slowly, which is strange given it was working fine before I moved house.

I've used CCleaner and AVG but there's been no change. There's no change whether it's wireless or wired either. Under properties on the connection, it says the speed is 80-100Mbps, and a couple of speed tests online suggest it's okay too despite everything taking ages to load.

Would very much appreciate any help! Thanks. (if you want me to post any techy details could you explain how I can get them too please).

So do you get the internet through the TV box or is it a cable modem with a router?
