Guest CryptiniteDemon Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 For whatever reason, when I apply the message in GPMC the computers I applied it to don't ever display the legal message before login, or at all. I have the option enabled in my GPO, and the computer is also in the OU, and I also added the computer to the list of stuff it affects in the GPMC console, but still no results even after a restart. What am I doing wrong?

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310430 One common mistake is not using the "Message Title" setting as well as the "Message text" one - you need both. Also, you can't use carriage returns in the body of the text. Keep it short & sweet. Running rsop.msc and/or gpresult on a client should tell you what else might be wrong. In the future, you should post stuff like this in microsoft.public.windows.group_policy for the most expert help.
