Guest Paul Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Hi, I want to give a set of developers access to view a Window 2003's event viewer logs remotely using an MMC snap-in without granting them administrator access to the server? Does anyone know how/where I grant those specific rights? Thanks, Paul

You can of course secure the script page ANY way you wish, but collect the log data under some elevated privilege through various methods.

You can set a GPO for that machine to give the users "Manage auditing and security log" permisions. It would be a domain-wide setting under Computer Configuration>Windows Settings>Local Policies>User Rights Assignments.
