Guest Ron Badour Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Re: Start Menu Present but start button has dissapeared Have you rebooted the PC? I do not understand the exact problem--you can see the start menu but there is no start button??? You mention autohide but that pertains to the taskbar. Are you actually saying that the taskbar has disappeared and the autohide setting is not selected? If so, run the cursor over the line at the bottom of the screen (assumes the bottom is where you kept the taskbar) and when a double headed arrow appears, left click and pull the taskbar up. -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP 1997 - 2008 "vbehler" <vbehler.38lw1a@news.home.local> wrote in message news:vbehler.38lw1a@news.home.local... > > morning all, > > today one of my office computers started and the start menu is there it > is on do not autohide so i can visibly see it but there is no actual > start button can anyone shed some light??? > > Cheers in advance > > Vince > > > -- > vbehler > Posted via http://ms-os.com Forum to Usenet gateway >

Try rebooting the PC. That should restore the Start Button.
