Can't download programmes

When I try to download 3D max (a free student programme) a notice saying

"a resourse on your machine (TCP Port 9411) required by the NetSession interface is eithr blocked or in use by another user. please check firewall settings. Aborting installation."

appear. My firewall is turned off and nothing else is going. What can I do?

Are you at a Uni or college (they have strict firewall access) if you have someone in the IT dept they will allow the download or send you a link you should be able to access it on.

 

If you are home then you need to have a word with whoever configured the network as some ports are automatically blocked by the router.
