Whats happening with everybody's favourite programming language?

It's been 6 months since the release of Visual Studio 2008. What can we expect, simply from a language perspective, from C# or Visual Basic?

 

All I ever hear about is MVC and Silverlight, whats happening at the lower level? things like Linq are incomplete, so what are the changes happening there then?

 

There are things like parallel extensions, but they just help code execute quicker (sounds ungrateful doesn't it?). Is dynamic language functionality to be prevalent in C# 4.0? Is there to be another rift between C# and VB where they add langage features unavailable in in other?
