CowboyFromHull Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 My Acer Aspire-T671 now has a lot of junk, some programs aren't working properly, the usual stuff after a while so I want to do a system restore to how it was when I recieved it from the shop. However I was not given a vista OS disk from acer. At the moment the disks I found were two acer blank recovery DVD's. I have put my data on my external hard drive. What is the best way to restore it to how it was when I recieved it? Thanks, Mike. Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 If the disks are blank then its intended for you to make your own recovery disks from within windows, there should be a notification on the lappy saying along the lines of 'your system needs recovery disks, to perform this now, click this balloon' etc etc If the disks are blank then use those, dont worry about all the rubbish on the system as these shouldnt be backed up. DO THE DISKS BEFORE you wipe the HDD Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
Jelly Bean Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 You should have Acer ERecovery installed. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
