write protected issue

hi

can not save now from my pc to my flash drive or external hd. keeps coming up saying write protected. tried everything, different flash drives all works fine on other computers.

can anyone help.

have tried to change registry storage device settings, wont let me. any ideas?

tried downloading software stiil ot sorted it. dont know what to do. unless i completly format my whole computer.

any suggestions?

Hello Fifthtexas, can you please tell us the make and model number of your hard drive? Because accordingly, there might be a write protection switch on it which might have been turned on by mistake. If you could list down the specification of the hard drive, we might be able to give you specific instructions to turn it off. :)

Write protection switches are more for SD cards.

 

1) In My Computer, right click on the drive letter of your SD card and

2) Eject it.

3) Then pull the card out and stick it back in.
