I stupidly ran a pc health check programe last night (comodo) and was given the option to either save or delete some files. I was warned that deleting them may harm my pc. Dont' ask me why but i deleted them!!!

I tried starting my pc this morning but i only get to the first stage, the dell logo, before my screen goes blank. I try hitting f8 but my pc starts bleeping and i get a message saying:

Dell System Optiplex gx260 series

Laptops, Desktop Computers, Monitors, Printers & PC Accessories | Dell

Keyboard failure

I have tried several time to get past this but haven't been able to.

I have windows XP Pro and SP3.

Here comes the bombshell. I have absolutely no disk to try to reload or reboot.

Can anyone help please.

Have you tried using another keyboard ?

There is an option within the BIOS to disable the 'halt on keyboard error'

problem is that if there is an issue with the Keyboard you cant get into the BIOS
