Could the Win UI be built with no text?

Just a quick thought.

 

Sure there would be text - in general -* ... but for the main UI - top and maybe second level ... just icons?

 

With WPF could they not make icons that show what they do when you mouse over (for example)?

 

Like if there was a goal to do the desktop, start panel, and top level explorer icons - to show what they do rather than make you read

 

(breadcrumb text ... start menu - all text looks the same... etc)

 

I think* it would be a fun design goal ... improbable ..perhaps .. but if it succeeded .. i think the UI would be more intuitive ?

 

 

(only as an option of course)
