Optical drive doesnt see discs

How can I determine which CDs and DVDs are relavent to any one drive?

I've been asked to help a freind whose computer is fitted with a Lite-on Combo LTC 4816H but having taken some discs around there it doesn't recognise my Sony DVD+R or my RiDisc 8X DVD +RW both 4.7GB.

You need to update the firmware on the optical

MAKE SURE that you get the right one as the wrong one will render the drive useless.

 

Download the latest firmware from the manufacturers site :)

Hmmmmm, perhaps I took too long over that one - the computer was replaced!
