Smart engine

Seems something called smart engine has gotten into my sons lap top, it has disabled avg and will not allow it to be turned on. or windows defender.

 

It will allow malwarebytes to run which found 772 probs mostly security hijacks.

 

I have looked up about this andseems there are many very recent reports about this smart engine I read that spyware doctor is able to detect and remove this 'smart engine' I dl spyware doc, but I am unable to open the program as in same manner that other security programs wont work.

 

I am not comfortable about following instructions of removing this tool manually.

 

Any help would be appprieciated

Please post the MBAM report here so i can take a look.

 

Start Malwarebytes AntiMalware.

Click on the logs tab.

The logs are date stamped ... double click on the log that showed the infection items.

It'll open in notepad.

 

Then copy and paste the report into your next reply.....

 

Along with:

 

• Download OTL to your desktop.
  right click on the link and select 'Save Link/Target As'.
   
  if you have problems, try this download link:
  OTL
  
• Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  
• When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  
• Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check

• right click in the Custom Scans/Fixes window (under the blue bar) and choose Paste.

• Click the Run Scan button.

• Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  
• When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  
• Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post them with your next reply.
