I'm looking for some detailed documentation or book on terminal services. I

need something that explains the setup process, how to configure software to

be shared, configuring TS roaming profiles, for starters.

We are running Server 2003 standard edition. I want to test it on one

server and go from there and having difficulties figuring out how to install

software that is run based on ip address or terminal number.

Anyone have any suggestions for good documentation on this??

Here are some starting points:

Regarding your wish to use the clients IP number in an application

running on the TS: you'll need to use 3rd party software for that.

Check this:

Virtual IP - session-based IP addresses, from Provision Networks

http://www.provisionnetworks.com/solutions/vip-it/vip-it.aspx

GETTSCIP - a freeware command-line tool to obtain the current

session's client IP address, by Ctrl-Alt-Del IT Consultancy

http://www.ctrl-alt-del.com.au/CAD_Utils.htm

Re: TS Documentation

Thanks. This should get me started for now. Is there a cost with the

virtual IP?
