James10 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Here's the deal. I use win 7 64 ultimate. I got this folder shared for some time (there was some music inside, i unrared it from an archive i downloaded, the arcive itself was removed with no problems), then i disallowed sharing. I tried to delete the folder by all possible means (under admin, with Total Commander, with FAR, using the latest unlocker 64) - it just wont go to the bin! Really i dont know what could that be. BTW i can rename the folder  This just irritates me soo much :( Any ideas guys? Many thanks Quote

Lowfellboy Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Are there any sub-folders or files within the folder that are read only? Had this problem myself, and had to go into each file and undo read only. Also check for hidden folders. Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 There are programs available that will delete 'stubborn' folders and programs, but I personally wouldnt use them. Can you check the permissions of the folder and check that you are the OWNER, as your not always :D right click the folder and then select properties, then security you will see your name and some system ones - check that you have allow on yours all ticked :) Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
