Good evening!

Does anyone have any recommendations / suggestions for Bar Code Scanning

Hardware / Software in a WIN20003 R2 Enterprise environment?

Clients are going to be a mixture of PCs, Labtops and Thin Clients (most

likely Windows CE, but Windows XPe if needed).

Client has a bunch of "large things" that they rent. Barcoding is something

that they are going to start doing for "asset tracking". We are moving

towards all thin clients (PCs and Laptops will - generally speaking - be

phased out). Not promoting onr thin client over another, but looking at the

Wyse S30 / Wyse V30L.

Thanks,

Cary

We are using Symbol scanners with integrated reader.

Mobile devices connects to TS environment and we have a program on TS that

will accept scanned code.

Very professional looking devices and reliable so far.

In our warehouses we use Falcon 4420's from Datalogic. It's a wirless CE

device with integrated scanner. We run a RDP session onto our TS from the

device. This TS session accepts scanned barcodes.

We also run Wyse S30's and V30's - we are looking at Wyse's new TCX USB

Virtualizer software - this might allow us to attached scanning devices to

terminals.
