Hi there,

I have a W2K sp4 server and have some valid remote device writing an

event every 6 seconds in the system log. Is there a way to avoid

writing that event since I cannot stop the process of remote device

accessing my server[some remote firewall trying to check

periodically]. Thanks, T

Hello Tester,

What kind of device you are talking about? And please post one of the event

viewer entries complete.

Best regards

Hi there,

A request was received from the invalid client IP Address x.x.x.x

Event ID 13, source IAS, type error.

This is a valid request but comes every 6 seconds. Can I choose not to

log it? Thank you,T

Hi there,

It is a valid firewall security software checking on the

authentication servers(ISA server) see what are the authenticating VPN

users.

This is the exact wording in the event log

"A request was received from the invalid client IP Address x.x.x.x "

It is an event ID 13, source IAS, type error. This is all there is to

it.

Thank you,T

Hello Tester,

Just google for "event id 13" and you get a lot of hits.
