Guest Scott Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 I updated one of my computers with SP3 today. I discovered the adobe flash player on the Yahoo Launch web site no longer has full functionality. Specifically, clicking the full screen button does not do anything anymore. Everything works fine on my other computer. FYI, when I first restarted my SP3 computer, the internet connection did not work. Restarting again corrected the problem. Any fixes out there? Scott Los Angeles
Guest PA Bear [MS MVP] Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Re: SP3 corrupts Adobe Flash Player Does uninstalling SP3 resolve the problem? What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running when you installed SP3? ================================= Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3), until 14 Apr-09. Guest Scott Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Re:Thanks... SP3 corrupts Adobe Flash Player Re:Thanks... SP3 corrupts Adobe Flash Player Upgrading the Flash player solved the problem. My new Dell computer (Dec 07) came with Flash 9.0.47.0 and I now have Flash 9.0.124.0. It came with the McAffe Security Suite. I've added Ad-Aware 2007. Thanks Scott Los Angeles "Scott" <scott@adelphia.net> wrote in message news:u5cPGkAsIHA.6096@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... >I updated one of my computers with SP3 today. Guest bw Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 RE: SP3 corrupts Adobe Flash Player Same thing happened to me and through this forum, got the Adobe flash player uninstaller to remove old Flash player. Then fresh new install of Flash 9 went without a problem. Hope this helps. BW "Scott" wrote: > I updated one of my computers with SP3 today.
