Problem with SP3 and Gigaset WLAN after hibernation

Recommended Posts

I've just installed SP3 (dated 5/6/08) and when I try to resume from

hibernation or standby then my laptop hangs. The only way to proceed is to

turn off power and do a fresh reboot. If I remove the PCMCIA card before

going into hibernation or stand by, then I can resume the session. But then

I've to plun in again the WLAN card.

This used to work with SP2 and all updates installed so far.

The hardware details are Toshiba Satellite P10-554 Laptop and Siemens

Gigaset PC Card 54.

I'd like to continue with SP3, without having to disbale the WLAN card. I've

even set up a new system from recovery media followed by SP3.

Any help is appreciated.

RE: Problem with SP3 and Gigaset WLAN after hibernation

I have the same problem with a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop after updating to

SP3. I haven't tried to go into standby or hibernation after removing the

Linsksys Wireless PCMCIA card but that's obviously not a practical solution.

Like KJ, any assistance from someone who has solved this problem would be

greatly appreciated. Until then, SP2 will have to do.
