When I have exceeded my broadband download limit, I would like to be able to delay the download [to Outlook Express] of my bulky emails, till I have bandwidth again. Gmail webmail does not seem to display email size, nor have a way of setting that to display, so that I can make a download choice based on size. What is the remedy ?

The only thing I can think of is to just not download the messages to your email account until you get more bandwith. Keep in mind though you are still using bandwidth if you are using web base mail and opening there or opening attachments etc.

There should be the option in Outlook Express to uncheck "Send and recieve messages at startup". However if you open OE it still may send and receive.

I'm not currently on a computer with OE so I can't check other options at the moment. Look under Tools>Options.

That settles it definitively - Thank you very much.

I would have marked this thread as 'solved' - if I had found the means. I did NOT find it in 'Advancved'.

I agree. Sorry about that. I noticed this question has been asked on other forums. Too bad they didn't find the link. :)

Best wishes Sesbastian.
