Guest Casey Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 I have to partitions drive c: for the system and drive d: for data. I like to have the d: data drive security setup that when user click on properties they do not see the permissions and can not change any security. I have it now that is that the owner of the file can change permissions.
Guest baki Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 RE: File and foler security Hi Casey, right-click on drive d:\ select properties, security and then advanced button in lower right corner. Select Users and then edit. There you can deselect Read Permissions and Change Permissions or set them to Deny. After you click OK, select Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects so that new permissions are propagated. Note that if you have lots of files on drive D:\ this can take a while. "Casey" wrote: > I have to partitions drive c: for the system and drive d: for data.
