I have to partitions drive c: for the system and drive d: for data. I like to

have the d: data drive security setup that when user click on properties they

do not see the permissions and can not change any security. I have it now

that is that the owner of the file can change permissions.

Hi Casey,

right-click on drive d:\ select properties, security and then advanced

button in lower right corner. Select Users and then edit. There you can

deselect Read Permissions and Change Permissions or set them to Deny. After

you click OK, select Replace permission entries on all child objects with

entries shown here that apply to child objects so that new permissions are

propagated. Note that if you have lots of files on drive D:\ this can take a

while.
