Guest here4real Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Automatic updates were made to my 2003 Standard server last night which now has the server in a regular bsod, reboot cycle. I stopped the reboot, checked the bsod and, sure enough, there is a kb article and a hofix. I downloaded the hotfix and burned to a cd. My question is how do you install the hotfix onto the server? I can boot up in recovery console and get to a command prompt. Then what?

Guest here4real Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Re: Windows 2003 server - how to apply hotfix Yep. No good. Tried every option of Safe Mode. The only thing that worked was Disabling restart on system failure so I could see the bsod. The problem is with storport.sys. There is a kb article on it as a known problem with a hotfix. Now, I just need to find out how to apply the hotfix!
