Guest SPG Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Windows 2003 SP2, member server in the domain. Have been running a batch file for some time via Scheduled Tasks for a tape backup. Then in mid March it stopped. The log file said "Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer". I have configured this thing so many different ways I am getting sick of it. I have Symantec Backup software but do not want to install it unless absolutely necessary. I cannot stand any products by Symantec, they all suck! Now using the Administrator account I can schedule a backup in the morning to run late that night, no problem. But doing the same thing to run tomorrow it fails. Why will it run today but not tomorrow ? Thanks, Sam

Some tell you how to modify your server's policy so that the account used for the scheduled tasks has the appropriate privileges.
