Windows 2003 SP2, member server in the domain. Have been running a batch

file for some time via Scheduled Tasks for a tape backup. Then in mid March

it stopped. The log file said "Logon failure: the user has not been granted

the requested logon type at this computer". I have configured this thing so

many different ways I am getting sick of it. I have Symantec Backup

software but do not want to install it unless absolutely necessary. I

cannot stand any products by Symantec, they all suck!

Now using the Administrator account I can schedule a backup in the morning

to run late that night, no problem.

But doing the same thing to run tomorrow it fails. Why will it run today

but not tomorrow ?

Thanks,

Sam

Check Google for these strings:

"Logon failure: the user has not been granted" "Task Scheduler".

There are lots of them. Some tell you how to modify your server's

policy so that the account used for the scheduled tasks has the

appropriate privileges.
