Look at: "Event Type: Information" To me it looks like a valid informational event, where the administrator is informed that DCOM is surppressing duplicate event log entries.... that is perfect good behavior. Or do you have any other symptoms which you did not expect ? rgds, edwin. I want to know what event log entries it is suppressing. It is not helpful that it is telling me it is suppressing something without giving me a clue as to what it is.

Warnings, Informational or Errors that relate to DCOM? Ace

It does suppress messages which are repeating frequently (to avoid filling the log).

So the event being suppressed will show up again after 24 hours (if the problem persists) or it was recorded just before event id 10026. Maybe you can actually adjust the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Ole\EventLog registry value to a smaller value so you can see what events are suppressed (you can try 300 seconds and once you identify the suppressed event changed it back to 86400). I am assuming that such change would require a reboot in order to be activated. Adrian Grigorof http://www.eventid.net
