As part of their special event this week, NVIDIA introduced its GeForce RTX 30 Series laptops, built with the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, the second generation of RTX, which fully supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. This includes new Ray Tracing Cores, Tensor Cores and streaming multiprocessors to give gamers and creators the most realistic ray-traced graphics, AI-accelerated performance and greater efficiency.

These laptops introduce new third generation Max-Q technologies. Max-Q is a system wide approach to provide even more performance in thin and light laptops. The technologies include NVIDIA DLSS, Dynamic Boost 2.0 and WhisperMode 2.0, which use AI algorithms to optimize the performance, power and acoustics across the CPU, GPU, GPU memory, fans and more. It also includes support for Resizable BAR, which is an advanced feature of PCI Express that enables the CPU to access the entire GPU frame buffer at once, improving performance in many games. Several of these just-announced GeForce RTX 30 Series laptops join the NVIDIA Studio program. These built-for-creator Windows-based laptops come equipped with up to 16 GB of video memory, pixel-accurate displays and GPU acceleration for ray tracing, artificial intelligence and video encoding that allow artists to create in record time. A total of more than 70 GeForce laptops are coming from every major PC manufacturer, starting Jan. 26. This is the biggest laptop launch for the company yet. They will be available with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 3070 or 3060 Laptop GPUs. Find out more about the new GeForce RTX 30 Series laptops.
