Guest Meinolf Weber Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Re: Windows 2008 Domain Controller, how do you disable password expiration? Hello Andy, You have no local options on a dc, if you not use fine grained password policies, you have to configure the policy on domain level, default domain policy to set the password options. For fine grained password policy look here: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/library/056a73ef-5c9e-44d7-acc1-4f0bade6cd751033.mspx?mfr=true Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. ** Please do NOT email, only reply to Newsgroups ** HELP us help YOU!!! http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm > Hi, > > I desparately need to disable password expiration and enforce strong > passwords on the local account policy on a Server 2008 box that is a > domain controller, I havent been able to find out how to do this, all > of the options are greyed out. > > any ideas? >
