Below is a snip taken from task manager. The offending process causing this strange processor usage is IE 8 64 bit. All of the tabs open are from sites that I use and visit regularly so I dont think it's a dodgy site or malware.

Any ideas what the problem might be ?

Also I have six instances of iexplore.exe running in processes. I assume it's because I have 6 tabs open. Can anyone confirm this.

Hi Odd Job. My Internet Explorer is about the same as yours with 5 or 6 tabs open.

Your CPU is only 56%. I can't see a problem, although I am not an expert.

Internet Explorer is a slug of a browser at any time.

I use a much faster browser now.

Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
