Hi Dunnsdale. If this program is not showing in Add and Remove in the Control panel, then stop the program from running.

Find the file in your C:Progam Files, and delete.

Then run all Security Scans.

Not sure how to do any of these steps, then by all means ask.:)

Thanks for your response DSTM.

It's not showing in Add/Remove programs and I can't seem to find it listed in C:Program files, unless its hiding behind another title.Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hi Dunnsdale...

If as you have stated the Nikon software is not showing in add and remove programs, another option would be to download Revo Uninstaller.

Revo Uninstaller Download

This is a great program for removing other programs that may not be listed in Add and Remove. You can keep it on your desktop, and when opened it will show you a list (Or icons) pertaining to all of the programs installed on your system.

Use the above link to go to the CNET download page for this program. If you scroll down the page you can read what the publishers have to say about their program, and also what CNET themselves think about this FREE software.

I thought I knew today...I'll try again tomorrow. :)

Many thanks for your reply Frank.I have downloaded Revo and hopefully its removed the NkVwMon files however my PC still shuts itself down about 5 or 6 times a day,Very frustrating. Is there any free software that would just checkout my whole system and find out whats causing the faults?

Further to what Frank has said, your Computer may be shutting down through overheating of Hardware.

Download this free program, and it will tell you what the temps are.

Piriform - Download

Thanks for all your advice guys.I think I may have been barking up the wrong tree with this problem.I should have mentioned that I use Firefox, after further investigation it appears that my shut downs may have been caused by their plugin-container.exe when visiting sites that use flash.Do I need to address this issue on another area of the forum?

Many thanks.
