I have just built my New gaming computer but now after about one and half weeks of having it it is starting to crash during my games (e.g. Empire Total War) and it comes up with a Blue screen saying something weirdly scary.

I have-

Gigabyte H55M-S2 Motherboard

Intel i3 Processor

Sapphire ATI Radeon 5770 Graphics Card

700W power supply unit

well if anyone could help with my error would be a big help.

Also my computer turns randommly off and on even when i dont press the power button sometimes.

Its abit weird but any help will be helpful.

Please Help i am trying everything.

Im in debt off it already so dont have much money to spend.

Hi Jack, welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help

First off...when you get the BSOD you need to make a note of some of the information given on the screen.

Near the top of the screen you should see some text written in upper case. Each word will have an underscore seperating it from the next word.

text_text_ text_ etc, etc.......Make a note of this text

The next set of information you need to record are the Stop Codes/Hex Codes. These will look something like this...0x00000010x

The hex codes can be both letters and numbers. Make a note of these as well.

How much RAM do you have installed? And is it all recognised by the system.

Just in case you don't know how to check out how much RAM is recognised...Press the Win Key/Flag Key + the Pause Break key on your keyboard to bring up the System Properties window, and the amount of RAM will be shown towards the bottom of the screen.

I should add that I'm not an expert on BSOD's, but if you can give the information asked for, then it will help others who are.

I thought I knew today...I'll try again tomorrow. :)

You mentioned your heatsink/CPU fan... Just how is the fan mounted in relation to the heatsink?

I thought I knew today...I'll try again tomorrow. :)
