Guest Noctaire Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I have a box that is consuming roughly 50G of memory. It has 64G physical, 32G virtual. I want to determine what is using the memory. Just looking at the "Mem Usage" column in task manager doesn't add up. Where else can I look to get a better break down of memory consumption?
Guest Ashishsa (MSFT) Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 RE: Determining what consumes memory on Win2K3 server.... - You can run take a System Monitor log with objects - Memory, System, process, processor, paging file with all counters enabled for a few hours under normal workload of the server. - You can then look into the Working set of individual processes and find out which process is consuming how much physical memory. - Also, there might be memory which will not be accounted against individual processes. Check the counters under the System, committed bytes, cache bytes. "Noctaire" wrote: > I have a box that is consuming roughly 50G of memory. It has 64G > physical, 32G virtual.
