Hey all,

For a couple months now our Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 has been

freezing up and we couldn't figure out why. We have a Dell PowerEdge

2900 and contacted Dell for assistance. The informed us that we has

too little RAM with only 4GB and 3.5GB being taken up by various

services (MSSQL Server 2005, MS Exchange Server 2003, etc) so we got

new memory. Things we ok for a couple weeks and then the same freeze-

up again. It turned out we had the wrong amount of memory for

configuration. They require that we have 2, 4, or 8 sticks in at a

time (we have space for 12) so instead of the 2 4GB stick and 4 1GB

sticks, we yanked 2 of the 1GB sticks and that left us with 10GB. We

did that two days ago and very early this morning there was a blue

screen that listed:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x0000000A (0x000F773, 0xD0000002, 0x00000001, 0X80A5A513)

Begining Dump of Physical Memory To Disk: 100

We are not sure what is going on, but this is very aggravating. Does

anybody have an idea what could be the problem?

Josh
