Sweeney5 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Hi. I'm looking to updgrade my graphics card, and have chosen this a " EVGA 512-P3-N954-TR GeForce 9500 GT 512MB", which I found here: Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N954-TR GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card If it ok with this motherboard? I'm not exactly sure what info you need to decide this, so I'll just post all that CPU-Z says. Manufactuer: Dell Inc. Model:0N826N A02 Chipset: Intel P35/G33/G31 Rev. A2 Southbridge: Intel 82801IR (ICH9R) LPCIO: ITE IT8718 Thanks in advance. Quote
KenB Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Hi and welcome to fpch Details of your motherboard are listed here: Dell Inspiron 545/8707 specifications | Expert Reviews It has a PCIe (x16) slot. The video card you are interested in is PCIe. I found a couple of reviews that suggest a PSU minimum of 400Watt. Personally I would suggest that you have PSU with a bit more output ( 500 Watt plus ) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Sweeney5 Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 Hmm, well I can't really afford a new PSU. So how about this Newegg.com - XFX PVT95GZAFG GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card I'm aware it lists the PSU in the details, however, alot of people including myself rarely find newegg accurate. mikeybumps Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 altho if your an avid gamer i wouldnt suggest that card? well either way if you game even slightly go for at the least a gts 450 or radeon hd 5770 both should work fine with medium to high settings on almost any game you throw at them:) Quote
