Wireless mouse issue or Computer?

I have the Microsoft Optical Mouse Blue. Has worked great. Recently, it

takes at least 3 clicks to open web pages and email and pretty much anything

I do on the computer. I changed the batteries so that is not the issue. Is

this a memory problem with my computer or something isolated to mouse? This

is a very annoying issue since I have to click 3 times to do anything.

Using either the Control Panel Mouse applet of Intellipoint check the

Double-Click "Registration" speed. This is the detection interval when

the machine registers or detects a double-click.

Mouses go bad, especially wireless mouses. You can de-install the mouse

drive(s) and reintall. This might help, but I think you mouse

transmitter has failed.

Reposition the mouse antenna. (Set the part that receives the mouse signal

in a new position such as atop your computer tower)
