Re: .dll files

System File Checker (Start/Run/CMD/SFC /Scannow)

/SCANNOW

Scans all protected system files immediately.

/SCANONCE

Scans all protected system files at the next boot.

/SCANBOOT

Scans all protected system files at every boot.

/REVERT

Windows XP: Return to default settings.

Re: .dll files

It really depends on what dll files & what makes you think they are

'missing'

You know, frequently when people ask this question, it's because of a

message window when Windows starts; not realizing that the reason the DLLs

aren't found is that the antivirus program detected them as malware and

removed them. However, the AV didn't remove the launcher reference, and

that's why the message appears.

So it may well be that you don't want them back. If you can mention what

these DLLs are, it might be possible to determine this.

Re: .dll files Take Care Using www.dll-files.com

Be careful if you intend downloading any dll files from http://www.dll-files.com

My experience with this site is that they do not always have the latest

versions.

e.g. I just looked at ntdll.dll and they show 5.1.2600.2180 which is the

pre-sp3 version.
