DVD/CD room problem and error

Hello, when i try to install video files into my disk using Nero i got an error "could not perform end of Disc-at-once" my version of rom is HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N ATA Device firmware version WR02. So does anybody have a newer version drivers or something?

Hi Bondas25. Only if your comfortable editing the Registry,I would uninstall the Drivers for the DVD/CD ROM in Device Manager.

Then remove the Upper and Lower Filters in the Registry.

Follow each step carefully and set a restore point first.

I have seen this fix work before.

 

 

"Upper/Lower Filters:

 

a. Click on Start --> Run --> and type in 'regedt32' followed by the enter key

b. Expand the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" key (looks like a folder) by double clicking it (or clicking the "+" next to it.)

c. Expand the "SYSTEM" Key

d. Expand the "CurrentControlSet" Key

e. Expand the "Control" Key

f. Expand the "Class" Key

g. Look for a key containing the following string of letter and numbers:

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

h. Highlight this key by left clicking once on it

i. On the right hand side you are looking for "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters" under the "Name" column, once you find these delete them by right clicking on them and choosing "delete"

j. Exit the registry by clicking on the "X" in the top right hand corner of the screen.

 

Now reboot your computer.

Thank you for your response but there is no upper and lower fillters ;/

There are so many suggested causes for your issue.

I think in this case it's a matter of Googling and trying each one.

Myself,I would install a free burning program,and see if the same issues occur.

I use IMGBURN Free.

This works fine with my Windows7 Ultimate Computer.

ImgBurn is working, thanks, i try what PseFrank suggest but no errors were found. Thank for your help I will write later if the problem expire forever :D

Hi Bondas25.

Can you tell us what type of Discs you are using.?

Write errors can be caused by poor quality Discs.

Also what burn speed are you using?

You have 2 programs having difficulty burning your Discs.

Have you the original Install Disc for your Burner?

There are so many possible causes for your problem.

We are trying to find a solution for you.:)

I use TDK discs, i'm burning at 8x and yes i original install disc

Hi again.You could have corrupt Drivers.

Open Device Manager

Expand DVD/CD-ROM and uninstall the Drivers.

Reboot your Computer,and try to burn a Disc with IMGBURN.

I'm not sure if this is related but there does seem to be a problem with some Win7 systems not recognizing the cd/dvd drive.

Microsoft have released an automated fix for this problem.
