My Acer Aspire 5542g running 64bit windows 7 has shown a slight graphic fault ever since I got it 11 months ago. When I am browsing I sometimes notice around 10 little coloured squares about 5 mm square formed in a chequerboard pattern and appearing at a random point on the screen. They disappear when I scroll up or down. I get them when using Explorer 8 or Firefox but I never get them when using Chrome.

What is causing this, can anyone help me get rid of them? They are a distraction

If this has happened since you first got it I would contact the manufacturer. At eleven months old you may still have one month left of your warranty. That is if it is hardware related of course.
