DAIPWYSO Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Hi All. I hope you can help. The kaspersky shortcut has disappeared from my desktop, and windows security centre indicates there are problems ie., Firewalls are OFF, and malware is out of date. Clicking the windows security centre options and then selecting 'turn on kaspesky firewall' and 'update kaspersky malware' has no effect (just the timer 'ring' for a few seconds then nothing! Also I cannot accessing kaspersky from the start menu, again clicking on kaspersky achieves nothing. Can anybody help with this please, it's the weekend and there are no options to speak to a human at kaspersky support. Many thanks in anticipation Dave. Quote
Synapse Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 First thing I would try is a System Restore, then if that doesn't work download and reinstall Kaspersky. Messing with it could just make things worse, and leave you without security. Btw, is everything else running as it should? Quote
DAIPWYSO Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 Hi Synapse Thanks for that. I don't know how to do a system restore but will try reinstalling Kaspersky later on today (it's on my wife's laptop). Yes everything else seems to be working ok. I'll let you know how I get on. Once again thanks, Dave Quote
coloboy Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I have XP as an operating system. I recently installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 as my security software and have had nothing but problems since. Kaspersky techs do not seem to be able to help me. My entire system runs slowly and software applications have a variety of problems, some will no longer operate. Internet is extremely slow and at times non-responsive. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have even thought of going with AGV for a change. Thanks. Quote
