Aloha all. Is there a way to change the dates of files (maybe even a batch

of files)? I ask because I have a Digital Picture Frame that seems to

display the JPG files in date order, then alphabetical order. I would rather

have it purely alphabetical, but no can do. So I figure if I can change all

the dates to the same date, the problem would be solved. Any way to change

file dates?

Many thanks!

Try this.

http://www.helge.mynetcologne.de/touch/index.htm

Touch is an old unix command that was used to do just that, touch a file

and make it look like it was edited thus changing the timestamp.

The above uses the current time.

Try google for touch.exe there are a lot of them.

http://touch-exe.softrecipe.com/ this is a gui and you may like it better.

The date and time was 5/12/2008 2:38 PM, and on a whim, LMO pounded out

on the keyboard:

It would also create an empty file of the name you specify to touch if

no file of that name was already in existence.

Good Luck.
