Guest Glenn Clark Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 We have a w2k3 sp2 server and lots of xp sp2 pc's. Most of our users have roaming profiles. We have now added a couple of vista machines for testing and wondered if there was a way of setting up a user account to use the alternative roaming profile for vista when the user uses this machine. Thanks Glenn
Guest Anthony [MVP] Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Re: Roaming roflies Glenn, You need to Redirect folders out of the profile so they can be used in Vista and pre-Vista logons. The profiles themselves are not compatible, Anthony, http://www.airdesk.co.uk "Glenn Clark" <NOSPAMPLEASEglenn.btn@gmail.comNOSPAMPLEASE> wrote in message news:Oq5MbPOtIHA.4952@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > We have a w2k3 sp2 server and lots of xp sp2 pc's. It's really best to have identical (or close to!) computers on a network if you're going to use roaming profiles.
