user profile problem - missing Windows folder

I have Windows TS on a 2003 Server. It is a domain controller along with

another DC. I have several user profiles that work 100%. I am in process of

setting up another user to access this TS to run some apps. This user is an

admin, and a member of rem desk users, etc, and can log into the TS

successfully both locally and remotely. But the profile created does NOT

have a sub WINDOWS folder inside of it that I need to copy some ini files

into. I have attempted to move a working WINDOWS folder from another working

profile with no success. I have created a windows folder and put the

necessary files into it and I also deleted the profile and logged into it

locally with still no success. How can I fix a TS profile to have a WINDOWS

folder in it. What am I missing with this user?

There's a Windows subfolder in \application data in the profile path.

There's never one at the root of documents & settings. But, since you're

using TS I'd hope you're using folder redirection for Application Data (and

My Documents and Desktop) via group policy - so it may not be *in* the local

documents & settings folder.

You really don't want to run TS on a DC, note. This is for reasons of

security & performance. Your TS box ought to be a member server with no

other roles on the network.....

It's under Microsoft. Are you using folder redirection?

Well, you can certainly change that! :-)
