Windows Installer Problem (Running XP3)

About a week after installing XP3, I have a problem with the 'Windows

Installer' window popping up, trying to install Office Ultimate 2007,

or Roxio 7, or Cyperlink, or One Touch (a diabetes control program).

The choice seems to be random and I have to hit 'cancel' several times

before it quits. All of theses programs have been installed for some

time and I have not installed any other programs since the XP3 update,

nor have I made any other changes in the setup of my computer. Any

help getting rid of this annoyance would be appreciated.

You may want to upgrade the Windows Installer to 3.1v2 from

Tried that already. I get the following message:

"Setup has detected that the Service Pack Version of this system is

newer than the update you are applying."
