As it says in the title....Long standing problem now getting worse.Happens in both Firefox and IE.Is there anyway I can find out whether this is a software or hardware problem?

Hi Dunnsdale...

 

Can you tell us what you are doing at the times when your PC closes down. For instance you have said that it happens in both Firefox and Internet explorer...Does it happen when you are not browsing, but lets say for example, you are using a photo editing program or maybe have Microsoft Word open?

 

Some things are a bigger draw on your computers resources than others.

 

How much Ram do you have installed?

Does it happen soon after startup...or when you have been running for a while?

Do you play games on your PC?

Is your computer a desktop or laptop?

I thought I knew today...I'll try again tomorrow. :)

After further investigation it seems that you have posted regarding this problem before. Have you followed all the advice given before? Or is this a different computer you now have these problems with?

I thought I knew today...I'll try again tomorrow. :)
