I'm putting together a domain for a French audience that will be hosted on a .FR domain.* It's not going to have super high volume traffic and there is no data-intensive media on the site.

 

Will going with a hosting company who has their servers in the US cause much discomfort to a French audience?

 

I suspect the answer is some form of "it depends," but I'd appreciate some pointers on areas that I may not have already considered.
