Win2K3 - Move and Perms inherit

Server 2K3 - no domain - just a stand alone IIS box

 

Copy files keeps the permissions of the destination directory

 

MOVE files loses the perms (just has admin)

 

all directories have inherit turned on (double checked with

fileacl.exe,)

 

How do I stop this behaviour?

Hello Elliot,

 

On a physical drive volume this is normal. Copy use the destination rights

and move keeps the source rights.
