RandyL Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I think most laptops come with optical drives these days. You might have a netbook instead of a laptop. Netbooks not having an optical drive is indeed a fallback. One possible solution is to get an external optical drive. Seriously it might come in handy for other reasons too. If you do have a netbook I hope the game specs are low because a netbook specs are usually dismal. Quote We are all members helping other members. PseFrank Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hi Jayden... I'm not into playing games on any type of computer, so don't know too much about this subject. However, as far as I can tell from doing a little reading, you would need to buy an external CD/DVD player. Is your new computer a Netbook? If it is it probably uses onboard graphics. This may be another area of concern for you, as the onboard graphics will not perform as well as a graphics card. Dalo Harkin Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Morrowind is a very old game and very low specs, You need to transfer the data from the CD to another media such as external HDD or a flash drive, you normally have to use specific programs to allow you to do this though (as it could be used to commit piracy) Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
