Windows 2003 server Enterprise + TS

Hello,

 

I'm installing a Demo Virtual Machine. Windows 2003 server Enterprise and

Terminal Services. I don't have TS licenses, but its only a 30 days demo of

TS and Citrix.

How can I configure the terminal server to 120 grace days. Per User or Per

Computer?.

Every time I try to log on the error is

"To log on this remote computer you must have Terminal Server User Access

permissions on this computer".

The user is member of "Remote Desktop Users".

What is the problem??

I believe you need to install TS Licensing on the machine and that

should give you the 120 days. Someone else here may need to confirm

this.

I've installed it. If I open the TS licensing says "There isn't any server"

No, the grace period of 120 days is defined as the period that a TS

will allow connections without being able to contact a TS

Licensaing Server. After that, you must install and activate a TS

Licensing Server, which will give you another 90 days of temporary

licenses.

Silvia, what makes you think that this is a licensing problem?

My first guess would be a permission problem.

What is the role of the server? Standalone, member server in a

domain, DC?

Is the user member of the *local* Remote Desktop Users group on the

Terminal Server, or is the user member of the *domain-wide* Remote

Desktop Users group?

Are there any Events in the EventLog on the TS which give more

information about the cause of the problem?
