Hi all,

I've configured a shared folder in the usual way in order to use TS Profiles

on my 2008 TS Farm. The profiles are getting created on my server just fine

(they are appearing as [username.v2] )

However, I am unable to access these profiles using the administrator

account (access denied). I have configured the permissions as per a 2003 TS

implementation that works perfectly. Can anyone advice?

Many thanks,

Mike

I don't know whether 2008 works differently here as I don't use it

yet....but in Group Policy there should be an option to add the

Administrators group to roaming user profiles. You might add that to your

GPO for the TS servers...it won't retroactively correct the existing profile

folders but should apply to any new ones you create. Try and se.

Hi there,

yeah I tried this and still no joy. I added the setting in the OU for users

and the dedicated OU for the Terminal Servers...... Arghhhhhhhhhhh - this is

soooo annoying.

Just to confirm, this is in Computer Configuration\Administrative

Templates\System\ User Profiles - so you'd put it in a (the) policy that is

linked to the TS OU. And you've also got a TS profile path setting in

there, right?

If you run rsop.msc does it show up?

You tested this with a brand new user?

I really have no experience with 2008 - but this works with 2003.

Re: TS Profiles

I had to reboot the Terminal Servers (Computer config). I guess I could've

forced the policy through but its working anyway,.

Thanks very much!

Most welcome - glad it's working.

Gpupdate /force should work...
