Off line files no sync on logon but will at log off

I have a problem with off line files

I've check MS Help Article ID : 275461 and triple checked permissions but

get the follow error.

When connected to the network any files edited or created are sync'd to the

laptop at log off - so all works ok.

When off line any new files or edits to off line files do not sync back to

the server at logon - error message is - Offline Files (\\servername\home on

server): Access to "filename" is denied on \\servername\home\userfolder - the

fix for this error is MS article 275461 - however permisson have been tripple

checked and still get this error and at this point the file on the server is

deleted.

Now here's the funny thing when you log off and the system sync's the file

is then copied back on the server and there are no error message and all

works ok.
