Guest LeonidasKlein Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I've scheduled a several backup processes with .bat and .kix scripts. All backup processes start normally but after some MB copied it stops and post the following error on backup log. I though it was a backup drive problem but i've one schedule for a USB HD and it gets errors too. Anyone have any idea? Thank you See error message below: The requested media failed to mount. The operation was aborted. The operation was ended. Backup completed on 5/16/2008 at 4:28 AM. Directories: 2000 Files: 117982 Bytes: 46,117,265,054 Time: 4 hours, 13 minutes, and 38 seconds ---------------------- The operation did not successfully complete. ----------------------

The first thing to try would be running the exact same backup interactively to isnure the MEDIA is mounted etc. > The requested media failed to mount. Guest LeonidasKlein Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Re: ntbackup does not finish backup I found the problem. The media tape was full. Is it a known issue? Why on the backup log it does not notify about media full? Thank you. Guest Pegasus \(MVP\) Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Re: ntbackup does not finish backup It did actually say so but in a rather roundabout way: The requested media failed to mount. The operation was aborted. The operation was ended. Backup completed on 5/16/2008 at 4:28 AM. Directories: 2000 Files: 117982 Bytes: 46,117,265,054 The job backed up 46 GBytes, then attempted to load the next tape but could not find it, hence the "failed to mount" error message.
